So I've made a pact with a good friend that I would make it back to the blogging world! I mean I do have all the time in the world on my hands right .. Not! We have had so much going on the last couple of months so I have a lot to update ;)
We were able to spend the holidays with both of our families! Gary's two sisters were able to both fly to SC for Christmas! It was so nice having them both here for the TWINS first Christmas, even though they had no idea what was going on we will have all the memories and pictures to show them of their very first Christmas!
Gary and I spent New Years in Greenville with Linsey, Elliott and Shelly!! We had a blast we always do whenever we get to go out with them.
Stella an Harper are changing daily, I love the fact that I am able to stay home and spend every second with them. Some days we never make it out of our pjs and I wouldn't trade it for anything in this world. I can't believe that in two weeks they will be six months.

Tummy Time ...
Today has been an eventful day already and its not even close to being over yet! We started our day at 5 am .. yes 5 am both sets of eyes were wide awake and ready for our day to begin. I had my six week post op appointment this morning, and I had an awesome report. Back to old my self again and ready to "workout". Thats if I have time .. ha ha time with twins thats an under statement. I actually might sign up for a "stroller stride" mommy class. The class meets three times a week .. It would be great we will see how it goes ...
We also had a few visitors today, my sister and her best friend Abby came to visit and to eat lunch. My Nonna was also here she comes once a week to help out .. she has been amazing. She helps cook, clean, feed babies, sterilize bottles.. whatever needs to be done! I always countdown each week for her next visit!!
This weekend Daddy has to work again ... sigh. I know two weekends in a row is a HUGE bummer but its a day shifts! My Mom will be here im sure both days and hopefully we can get out and about .. possibly do a little shopping. Retail therapy is a MUST!

Wednesday's thoughts ....
I am definitely loving the change in the weather! Sweats will be my attire for this lazy rainy day!
September thru November is by far my favorite time of year. LOVE football season ... pumpking spice candels... fall decorations and of course Halloween.
Still contiplating Stella and Harper's halloween costumes ...
My 25th birthday is quickly approaching. I never thought I would be married and a mom of TWINS before I was 25! This birthday will be different than the past I cant wait :)
Christmas is so close cant wait to spend our first Christmas as a family of FOUR. We want be traveling for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Just to soon for these babies to be on a plane during the winter. But we are hoping to have tons of visitors through the holidays!
Everyone (including Daddy) is snoozing away at the moment, I think I will take advantage of this quiet time and rest myself!!

Six Weeks.....
I have so much to say but very little time so here it goes....
We had an awesome weekend, I had been dreading this weekend for the past couple of weeks only because Daddy had to work a night shift (and we miss him so much when he is gone). Friday was a very uneventful day the three of us layed around in our pjs until after lunch. And late Friday afternoon we headed to moms to hangout until Gary got off work. Saturday we had a little visitor ... Elizabeth came over. Surprisingly this was only the second time she had seen the twins since we came home from the hospital. We will excuse her this time since she was planning a wedding and all. We watched the Clemson vs. Auburn game and ate pizza. She was such a huge help while I got some much needed things done around the house. But however I did catch time to celebrate Clemsons WINNN.. yay GO TIGERS !!!

Our little TIGERS !
Sunday we went to church and lunch with my mom and the rest of the family. Trying to be somewhere before lunch time was a huge task. I showered while my mom took care of babies .. and then we switched! We will definitely have to book late afternoon appointments for these first couple of months if we have to go anywhere :)

Typical picture ..
Monday was a very low key day, Gary was off work and he insisted that I get out for a little while and he would take care of the BABES. Mommy had a mani and pedi and quickly headed back home. ( I knew there was no need to rush that he had it all under control but ....) We went for an afternoon stroll .. well kinda Harper rode in the stroller while I carried Stella. For some reason she didn't have a very good day.....
Well while my little angels sleep I will try to nap we had a rough night ....

One Month ....
It still amazes me how fast time seems to fly by these days... My afternoons turn into nights and mornings and before I know it Monday turns into Friday. Today marks exactly one month since Harper and Stella's birth. I can't believe it I'm a mother to one month old TWINS :) These last couple of weeks have definitely been a roller coaster experience. I'm going to completely try to go off off memory and write something about each week....
Week One- Well Daddy was still home from work we also had tons of help from my mom "granna". Both babies umbilical cords came off 7 days to be exact. We had two visits to our pediatrician this week ( both great check ups)
Week Two- Granna spent the entire week with us, Daddy worked two 7pm-7am shifts we managed just fine!
Week Three- Mommy was able to handle us all on her on during the day while Daddy worked. Linsey and Shelly both came to visit us and to help Mommy of course ...
Week Four- Kind of a blur daddy had a lot of time off this week so he let Mommy rest as much as possible!

And the Journey BEGINS.....
August 8th 2011, our lives were changed forever! We were blessed with two AMAZING children and we will never be the same! Here is our birth story...
We arrived at the hospital Monday 8.8.2011 around 8:00 am to start our prep for surgery. We had a small "fan" club as my OB would say waiting patiently in the waiting room. Seems like the two hours leading up to surgery were the fastest two hours of our lives. At 9:50 am I kissed my sweet husband and was wheeled into the OR. I then received the spinal (not as bad as I had expected). Seems like everything that happened after that point, happened super fast. At 10:23 am we welcomed Harper Dallas Avery Morrison! He weighed 5lbs and 15oz .. And exactly one minute later we welcomed Stella Claire Ashley Morrison. She weighed 6lbs 11oz :) Seeing and hearing them for the first time was the most amazing feeling. We were parents .... Overwhelmed with excitement! Shortly after their arrival and after hundreds of pictures we all four headed to our recovery room. My mom (granna) and gary's mom (Nona Jo) came to meet our precious babies first! Moments later the fan club arrived! Parts of being in the recovery are somewhat a blur to me. I was in a lot of pain and was given verset :(
After recovery we were moved to our regular room and we would then begin to learn to care for not one but TWO babies. Of course mommy wasn't able to get up and move about so Daddy took care of the first diaper changes and assisted mommy with feedings. Our hearts were so full ... We had tons of support but not long after we were settled in our room my blood pressure spiked. And when I say spiked .. It was 160/110 .. Definitely not normal. We were then told we would have to ask all visitors to leave .. Mommy needed her rest! The day was very eventful to say the least .. ! We spent the next four days in the hospital .. "with visitors" and we were all able to come home that Thursday !!
Few pictures from their "birthday"

Hmmm.....
Today marks only 6 days until we meet Stella and Harper... I absolutely cannot believe it! The time is almost here..the months have turned into weeks and the weeks to days... I think we'll start counting the hours before to long..... As the days get closer Gary and I constantly talk about BABIES.. I mean we have for almost the last 37 weeks as well but now it's all we can think about....
We wonder which baby will look like who? In all of our ultrasounds people say Harper looks like Gar and Stella like me ... Even our OB has bets on this one! We usually have a bet before we go to our growth scan to see who guesses their weights the closest.. Right before appointment time Jenna normally text me with her guess as well. I mean I know the growth scan weight is the "closest" GUESS they can get but is there really 12lbs plus baby inside of me? Can't wait to know for sure... I think I could ask/write a million questions we have! But honestly I PRAY they both come out with ten fingers, ten toes and as HEALTHY as can BE. Please keep us in your prayers as well!
Today Gary took the day off as we've known my sister was moving into her new apartment in Clemson for months now! We were able to go and see her new place .. And I was a huge help.... Haha .. Really a huge waste of space :) It was really nice to get out and on the way home we made a quick stop at Babies R Us... I don't think we've left a baby store yet without a "buggy" full of stuff and a box of diapers!! I mean what else could we possibly need.

Another Milestone ....
..... we've made it to 36 (sigh of relief) weeks!! Today we had our LAST official "OB" visit, we got to see Dr Beck. Just like I have mentioned before she is amazing and if all stays the same she will be the one to bring our little angels into this world! We had our Strep B test ... I was worried but it was a "breeze" to say the least! We were able to have an ultrasound ... but there was little to see. Poor little Harper has very little room .. Stella looks as if she's the boss in there ALREADY !! They gave us an estimate of their weights H-5.5lbs and S-6.13 !! My guess is that they will both be close to 6 at delivery, so at the most 10 days until we know for sure.
As we talked to Dr Beck today .. she reassured me that the c-section will be fine .. and that I will instantly be able to "breath" again, she said its an INSTANT relief. However, she did let me know that I would be very sore the second day and that each day will get better !! I think she could see all the fear in my eyes so she wanted to assure me of what "exactly" I would feel !!

36 weeks and counting ....

12 days and counting ....
These days I think my brain is in overload, I've even dreamed about packing for the hospital ... I may have made a hundred lists that I cross off daily. I know there couldn't be possibly anything that we wouldn't be able to go without!!!
I guess I always try to over plan/over prepare for everything!
Gary and I had a wonderful first anniversary! He had a little surprise up his sleeve and Saturday we spent the day getting pampered. I had a prenatal massage .. let me say it was amazing ... I thought I might be uncomfortable on the table since I have gotten so HUGE ... but it was so relaxing.. I may try to squeeze one more in before the twins arrive! Sunday we didn't make it to church .. I had tons of contractions that morning and just didn't want to over do it!! We did go to lunch to "Celebrate" but came straight home afterwards .... :)
The last two days have been tolerable ... today I feel like their is a 100lb weight on my stomach .. but I'm getting relief by just laying on my left side. Can I possibly strech anymore???
This week we have our LAST ob appointment ... but we do go next week for pre-op!! I have have had a million plus questions about this c-section but we know everything will be just fine ... I can't wait to hear their first "cries" !! We love them so much already ... every sleepless night .. contraction and night spent in L and D .. were only the beginning of this JOURNEY ..
I'm sure we are going to be filled with such joy .. excitement ... that the rest of the world will not matter. We are so VERY thankful that the Lord has been right beside us through all of this we are so BLESSED !!!

Best Year of our LIVES
I can't believe that this time last year we were running around like crazy people to make sure we had the right color table clothes .. that all of our guest from New York had been picked up from the airport ... and stressing majorly about OUR big day!! It was by far the best day of my life .. I married the most loving, caring, supportive man that I never thought I would be Blessed with. He is more than my my husband he is my very best friend .. he has seen me in the last 365 days at my BEST and my very WORSE. He's held my hand though numerous contractions and sat up countless hours at night when I couldnt sleep! I could go on and on about how much he has done for me (without complaining) but for those of you who know him .. you already know that!! I love him with all my heart .. and Harper and Stella are will be even more than blessed to have him as a father!!

I thought we would be on some huge anniversary trip .. but trips and gifts dont even matter. We've been blessed with more than any "anniversary" gift. The thought of meeting our precious son and daughter any day now is far more exciting .. and breath taking!

We hope to eat our anniversary cake in our pj's with take out .. and we wouldnt want it any other way!!

And the countdown begins ...
We've made it ... 35 weeks and counting! We were so excited to go back to the doctor today that we had previously scheduled our appointment at 8:30 this morning! Geez what was I thinking .. I only get up every forty five minutes to use the little girls room and reposition MY 10 pillows. Poor Gar he has had only a little tiny spot in the bed for so LONG now. But we made it !!!Today we were able to see Dr Beck, she will be our "delivery" doctor as well .. as long as we don't have any surprises and they stay put until August 8th! We did have another growth scan and they are think Stella is close to 6lbs and Harper is very close behind her at 5.5 !!! We weren't able to get any good pics ... just side profiles :) Our ultrasound tech says Stella has a head full of hair .. but Harper on the other hand doesn't have any at all ... I guess we will see! With all the heartburn I'd think they were about equal! After the ultrasound we sat in the exam room for quite sometime .. bothered me I thought something might be wrong!! As she busted thru the door she said she had tried to find something wrong .. but NOTHING. Thank you LORD!!!
After the appointment we stopped at Moppets to pick up the rest of Stella and Harper's "coming home" attire!! I absolutely cannot wait to wash it .. iron it .. and pack it :) As we left the OB our doctor did inform us that if our little angels decide to make their appearance we are out of the "instant NICU" range. With that being said there is alot of nesting to do ... 19 days and counting !!!!

34 weeks and ALOT in between !
Its definitely been a roller coaster ride of our lives since last week. Monday morning I woke up just not feeling right .. I had a weird feeling that maybe it was time. Gary called my ob and we went to be "checked", while we were there I had a non stress test and I was contracting every couple of minutes. Our ob decided we should go to ob triage for fluids etc .. ! After being there a couple of hours we were discharged. We were then informed our labor will not be aggressively stopped again. Once we were home I could tell Gary was in "panic" mode. I got on the couch to rest and he decided there were a few last minute things he should pick up ....
Tuesday was a whole new day .. I guess after three bags of fluid .. I felt like I could do anything. We finished some of the stuff in the nursery and washed the rest of our sized newborn clothes. We had a quite night on Tuesday not knowing what Wednesday would bring ..
Wednesday we had our 34 week appointment .. we were told we were going to get to have a growth scan even though we werent scheduled for one. We were ecstatic .. sad my mom wasn't there because she hadn't missed an ultrasound but we couldn't wait to hear how big they had gotten and how their development was going. Im not sure if it was just a mothers instinct or what but I could see the panic all over the ultrasound techs face as she measured Baby A .. Harper. The comment was made that he was alot smaller than she expected. I of course felt my eyes start to tear up .. what do you mean ... smaller .. he has always been bigger etc. She went on to measure Baby B Stella. We weren't to sure exactly what to say or what to do ....
We were taken from the ultrasound room to the exam room where we seen Dr Lafitte. As he entered the room I embrassed myself as Gary stood by me. He started off by telling me Harper had only taken two our of eight breaths and the he was measuring in the 12th percentile. Stella was fine she was had taken eight out of eight breaths and she was measuring in the 84th percentile. Everything from that moment on seems to be a blur. Of course Gary kicked into medical mode and started asking tons of questions ... stuff I couldnt even think of ... after tons of explaining we were admitted to Labor and Delivery High Risk. After steroid shots and lots of tears we seen our Maternal and Fetal Doctor Thursday morning. We had a doppler scan .. growth study .. we watched each baby take numerous breaths. It was the best feeling in the world to see them both moving and ok. They couldn't find anything wrong with Harper .. such a blessing. We had been lifted up with so many prayers .. what a relief. I knew there was nothing that God would put us through that we wouldn't be able to handle .. but it was definitely the scariest 24 hours of my life!
We are BEYOND thankful that we have TWO very healthy babies ... and if they decide to make their appearance early we are mentally and emotionally prepared. Surgery and all I am ready to see their sweet little faces and hear them cry for the first time!! I am absolutely head over hills in love with THEM and my supportive husband. Without him and our amazing families I don't know where I would be today ...

33 Weeks ..
Yesterday we had our 33 week check up, we were able to see Dr. Laffitte. We've only seen him one other time but we got an awesome report. I have had alot of contractions lately but according to the MD all is well. We didnt have a growth scan we are scheduled for one on July 20th. We're counting down the days to see our sweet babies faces!!
We've had a toss up about the days of the C-section now, yesterday they changed the date to August the 8th (exactly one month from tomorrow).. I guess we will just have to wait until we get a little closer and we get the results of our next growth scan.
I've started packing Stella and Harper's bag for the hospital, and I have gotten a few things together for Mommy and Daddy, so hard to believe it's so CLOSE :)
Nothing else really to report on the TWINS ...
This day three years ago Gary and I went on our very first date .. ahh :) Times have definitely changed but we wouldnt give anything in this world for it!
I have tons of baby clothes to fold and put away .. I must get BUSY :)

32 weeks....
Pregnancy Updates ...
Due Date: We scheduled our C-Section for Thursday August 11th!! Whose counting but that's only 41 days away :)
Weeks Pregnant: 32 weeks and 2 days
Weight gain so far: This past week we hit the 30 lb mark ... ah 30 lbs. Never thought I'd be excited about gaining weight but our sweet babies are SO HEALTHY!!
Pregnancy Symptoms: I have now experienced the pain of carpal tunnel, ouch! Sleeping in a wrist splint has really helped. It comes and goes .. the tingling sleepy sensation that I am getting only in my right hand! As far as any other symptoms sleep seems to be an issue some nights but not every night! I guess we will be very prepared for those late night feedings!
Cravings: No crazy cravings... last Friday I think I would have done anything in this world for Cheese Puffs .. yes Cheese Puffs! Thankfully my sweet husband didn't hesitate when I mentioned them and in a matter of minutes he was back with a LARGE bag of puffs :)
Sleep: Good with 10 pillows ... I think Gary may have a couple of inches to sleep on once Me .. and the PILLOWS make it to bed!
I can't live without: My AMAZING husband, he's been absolutely wonderful this entire pregnancy .. I didn't expect anything else though.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach :)
What I'm looking forward to: Aug 11th of course and this weekend .. Gary's birthday is July 5th, so we plan to "Celebrate" this weekend !!
Goals for the upcoming week(s): Decide on a breast pump .. enough said!!
.... Tomorrow my mom and I plan to do some "shopping" (as much as this pregnant woman can handle) to pick up some more STUFF for Stella and Harper :)
Well I'm off to get ready for a day at the pool with my awesome sisters ... Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ... and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY :)

Blah .. Blah ...
Thoughts before our 32 week OB appointment .....
I absolutely cannot believe how fast time seems to be flying by these days .. we are currently 32 weeks pregnant .. WOW 32 weeks :) I can't believe that at the most we have six weeks until we are able to HOLD Harper and Stella.
This weekend we had our third shower ... our house currently looks like we are possibly having more than two children ... our downstairs now consists of pack'n'plays.. swings... bassinetts, boppys basically you name it and its here! I am so very greatful for my amazing family and friends. These babies are loved so much already :)
Our nursery is almost completely finish ... a couple of last minute things to do and we are DONE ... I can't wait to post pictures!
I'm currently trying to figure out EXACTLY what we all we need to pack in our bags for our hospital stay .... Our C-Section class was very informative .. a little more detailed than our OB hospital tour. I definitely got a little nervous :) I don't know why, I've had tons of surgeries (nothing im proud of) I've just never had a spinal or been awake for any of the procedures ....
I'm bored if you can't tell ... well we are off to our weekly OB appointment .. hoping for a good report!! Maternity pictures with Linsey Wilson Photography tonight :) cant wait!!

Growth Scan ...
Yesterday we had our 30/31 week growth scan .. we couldnt have gotten a better report!! I absolutley cannot believe that there is approximately 7.7lbs of baby inside of me and we still have a ways to go!
Stella 3 lbs 14oz
Harper 3lbs 9oz
We were able to see Dr Moore, we've only seen him one time before when I was hospitalized early in the pregnancy for a kidney infection! I really havent seen a doctor that we dont like! I guess that's very reassuring considering they keep telling me we want have a PLANNED birth :) I'm such a planner :) We were unable to get any pictures .. its like there is absolutely no more room inside my tummy! We were able to see some "body parts" and see their ears etc ... but no face pics :(
Thursday, we go for our C-Section class, I'm worried how nervous this will make me! Gary is so use to Operating Rooms etc. that nothing seems to get him "excited", more like make him as nervous and anxious as I get.
There is so much I want to get done before there arrival, not enough time in the day for this momma! Today, my youngest sister Channing came to stay .. I'm hoping to find something interesting for us to get into so she doesnt get to bored!

.... Contractions ... enough said !!
Today we (me and the MIL) made an unplanned trip to the OB ...
Last night around eight I started feeling really strong contractions and when I say strong I mean unbearable pain. I hooked up to our home monitoring system just to see how many contractions I was having... laying there seemed to be one of the longest hours of my life. About five minutes after I submitted the reading the nurse called back asking me what my pain scale was .... I think I mumbled out about a 7 or 8. She suggested I take my procardia and re monitor ... it was a repeat of the previous reading. Trying not worry I layed down.. tanked down about a gallon of water and then eventually I was comfortable enough to lay down and rest. This morning first thing I hooked up to the monitor and patiently awaited for the nurse to call me back. Not so good news .. to many contractions I needed to go in and be seen. Scared ... just a little .. !
We were able to see Dr Cooke he is by far my favorite doctor and if I have it my way he will be the one to deliver our sweet babies. He "checked" my cervix to tell me I wasn't dilated .. awesome news! He also did a fFN test ... this was my second time having this done ... ! Just received the phone call that the test was negative ... good news! So basically I'm to rest, rest, and rest some more.
Its been really nice having the MIL around to help out with things .. and especially keeping me company watching chick flicks while g is at work!
Tomorrow, my Mom, Jenna, Jack and Channing will be back from their cruise to the BAHAMAS! I really hope they had a blast, and cannot wait to hear all about it!!
Monday we go back for a growth scan, anxious to hear their approximate weights .. I'm saying 3.5lbs each .. we will see!! Well hello 30 weeks ... cant believe we are already 30 weeks !!!

PJ Day ....
I have showered and put PJ's back on and that completes my DAY !! Today has been such an exhausting day and I have done absolutely nothing! The closer the time gets the more EXHAUSTED this baby mama seems to be. Good report from home monitoring today I only had one contraction in the hour I monitored ... compared to the 5-8 I have been having ... yay!
Gary has the next three days off and I couldn't be more excited !! Tomorrow we hope to get some more things done around the house, I have a "HONEY DO" list that I hope (we) HE is able to complete before the twins arrival!!
Today my Nonna came and cleaned our entire house! So sweet of her :) Absolutely cannot wait to crawl into our clean sheets .. and hopefully have a full nights sleep!
