I can hardly believe that today is the last day of May. My days and nights have definitely been running together as my family faced such a devistating tragedy. I still cannot believe that they are gone .... I pray constantly for my sisters strength and Avery and Austin's familes.
John 14:1-4
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.
As far as pregnancy goes ...
We have to very active babies ... I love the feeling of them "rolling" now, such an amazing feeling. I can lay flat on my back at night and watch my stomach "roll". Gary always asks is that Stella or Harper or both of them :)
I have started monitoring my contractions with a home monitoring system. Everything seems to be going ok. Definitly alot more comforting to know exactly how many contractions I am having an hour .. (not good at the timing process). So twice a day for an hour I hook up to the monitor, If I have more than five contractions in an hour I have to change positions and remonitor..
We go Thursday for our growth scan! We are having the scans every three weeks instead of four now because of their size, they are BIG twins !!
I will post pics .. weights etc after our appointment!

Babies ...
Trying not to ramble so here it goes ....
Last night was definitely one of the worst nights of the pregnancy so far :( I started having contractions about midnight and they would come and go only having a few an hour. As the night went on they got stronger ...! This morning Gary and I called the OB just to see of water and rest were our only options ? We went in to be checked/put on a monitor to see just how things were going. Cervics wasn't dialted and is still closed ... GOOD NEWS ... I also had a fFN test to see make sure we weren't in preterm labor and the OB would call us in a few hours with results.
Good news again .. test came back negative and they are going to be able to control my contractions with procardia! Such a BLESSING :)So rest .. water ... rest ... water .. :)
On another note ... this weekend my mom and I spent Saturday working on the nursery .. things seem to be coming together. Its been hard to find things that are pink and blue that match :) Here are a few pics .. definitely not finished!!
Beds without bedding ...
Changing table and dresser ...
Another view ...
A work in progress .....

Pregnancy Updates ...
25 week OB visit ....
Yesterday we went for our 25 week OB check up! We were so excited for our growth ultrasound and very happy my Mom and Gary were both able to come. Measurements were great ..
Harper's weight 1 lb 12oz and Stella 1 lb 14 oz.
We were all so shocked to see how much their little faces had changed just in 2 weeks! Both babies measured above average .. Harper being in the 59th percentile and Stella being in the 64th percentile. I couldn't believe Stella weighed two ounces more than Harper, she has always measured several days behind him and a few ounces smaller! Im assuming she has had the same cravings as mommy lately! Speaking of I have never been a huge fan of sweets but sugar cookies seem to be my favorite these days ... actually I think its anything SWEET!! I guess I better start preparing myself for the glucose test I will be having in a little over a week!!
Both babies have been very active for quite some time now and it seems like at almost every OB visit someone doesn't want to cooperate, this time it happened to be our little princess with her arm across her face ... the ultrasound tech said she was being a little dramatic yesterday !!
Harper
Stella
Dr Beck also gave us exciting news about DELIVERY, the VERY lastest they will make their first appearance will be August 12th. However she did offer us a few dates, and we are hoping things work out for a August 8th. That's if we are able to PLAN .. but she also reminded me with a MULTIPLE pregnancy there are NO guarantees of anything being planned and if she had to guess "THEY" .. as in Stella and Harper would decide on their OWN birthdays!
Nursery Update ...
I think we have had our cribs/furniture put together since we were appoximately 16 weeks and since then I've been way to lazy to decorate. My mom spent this past weekend IRONING all the pieces to each of their sets of bedding! I'm sure the bedding will be taken off several times before their arrival and washed and ironed again if she has anything to do with it ...
A couple of days before Mother's Day, Gary took me to "look" at gliders ... meanwhile he knew the ones he really liked just wanted Mommy's approval. We decided on a Storytime Glider by Best Chairs, definitely went with comfort first instead of looks since we will both be spending LOTS of time "rocking/gliding"! This is a simular picture but our's will come in "oyster", and of course it want be here for 8-10 more weeks!!
Gary is off to a wedding in Oklahoma this weekend so my mom and I plan to start putting the finishing touches on the nursery! I reallly hope its not another month before I "blog" again ... but until then ....
