Catching up ....

So here it goes, I have been telling myself I would start updating my blog for months now ...

So on Monday, December 13th my life changed forever. Gary and I had spent the weekend in Charlotte with my Dad, we enjoyed a nice weekend at the Falcons game. Monday we drove home of course making Gary stop at every outlet mall between Greenville and Charlotte. We got home around 1:30 that day. I had a regular GYN appointment at 4 just a check up.
So trying to make light of the fact that we had made the decision two months prior to go off of BC. I thought this just might be the day, I took an at home pregnancy test. I really didn't expect a positive test result. As I screamed from the bathroom to Gary ... WHAT DOES TWO PINK LINES ON A PREGNANCY TEST MEAN ?? Frantically he said it a REALLY excited voice, I'm not 100 percent sure, usually the nurses in the ER tell me the pregnancy test results! So we took another test, thinking we would get a different answer ... same TWO pink lines!!!
AHHH so excited ... I headed to my gyn appointment so excited to tell my OB we were pregnant.



Only to get devastating news at the OB, she asked me numerous questions, questioning if I was really pregnant or not. They did blood work and she said she would call me in 24 to 48 hours with the results. She sent me home with tear filled eyes thinking we had an ectopic pregnancy. How could this be ... how could we have gotten so excited just to be torn apart ... I don't think I slept for the next 48hrs ....

Days and Nights ....

Well today marks the fourth day in a row I have been home and away from the rest of the world. Monday I went to work with a runny nose and head ache ... little did I know that I would go to the Dr on Tuesday to find out I had MONO :( YES that horrible four letter word that everyone in the doctors office cringed at the tought of. I never thought it was possible to sleep for almost 48 hours straight but I did. I think the only time I moved off the couch was to make myself drink Gatorade to try and stay hydrated.

Today marking the forth day I managed to shower AND SHAMPOO my hair ... yes I said that right even bathing everyday was exhausting. Hoping that this "virus" will be over with soon even though people say that you tend to feel better and then you have a "RELAPSE". Lets pray I don't have one!!

When Gary said the vow's in sickness and in health ... I feel like he bit off a little more than he can chew !! This year by far has been the best year of my life .. even if I have been hospitalized, had a heart ablation , and now MONO ... thank goodness its November and hopefully the sicknesses are OVER with.

I have had the best support system ever ... and the BEST husband ever. I really don't where in the world I would be without him .. He is one AMAZING man !!

Where in the world did October go? I feels like yesterday we moved into our new house and we've been here a month already! Gary and I both took some vacation time this past weekend to get things done around the house. Needless to say we spent most of our time shopping for things we didn't necessarily need but things we WANTED ...
But we did accomplish alot !

On Saturday we had a few friends over for a Halloween "gathering", we had a blast, there were supermarket sweepstakes contestants, ninja turtles, hippies and Clemson fans, nice mixture to say the least.







On Sunday we had a few trick or treaters, so many cute little children around our neighborhood !!

Monday we relaxed had a few doctors appointments, everything is still going well :)

Unfortunately Gary is back on nights again, but not for long. I miss him so much when he is not here but for some reason I am able to get alot more done :)

Well off to slave cleaning these bathrooms for the night !!

Can't get use to this blog ....

Well let's see another time I will have to play catch up !! Gary and I have spent the last two weeks moving into our house, its amazing. Probably more room than the two of us plus MAC need at the moment! Gary has finally :) finished painting the down stairs and has now decided to hire someone to do the upstairs. So we will see how that works out...
Although I was very impressed to come last week to a new ceiling fan in our bedroom, after being SHOCKED while removing the outer covers to our electric sockets I was very nervous about the ceiling fan ... but its beautiful .. perfect birthday present! Ha that definitely makes me feel old.

This weekend Shelly, Elizabeth and I decided that we would take a mini road trip ... and we ended up in Gatlinburg, TN. Some very exciting adventours but we had a blast, cant wait for girls weekend NO. 2 !!

This week should be great as well on Wednesday I will celebrate my 24th birthday, while many people may not feel as if that is old ... I'm starting to feel like it.

So it's been a while ..

So I promised myself that when I started this blog I would constantly update .. well as we can see I havent kept my promise. Well today marks one week from my Cardiac Ablation, things went very well and my recovery time was reallllly fast. I thought it would have taken weeks to recover ! It was awesome to have my Nana, Papa Jack, Ms Joann (my mother in law) my Dad and one of my sisters here .... ! And of course I can't leave out my supportive husband. I became very spoiled while my grandparents were here, I didnt have to do a thing .... if you are reading this I really miss you NANA !!

The Doctor was very pleased with the outcome of the ablation, but I follow up in a couple of weeks so we will see. Its very scary when it comes to your heart, I mean I have had to have more procedures before the age of 25 but I think this was by far the scariest !

While "recovering" Gary and I have made the decision to move out of our apartment into a house, we are going to lease the house to begin with, with the option to buy depending on where these next couple of months lead us !!



Tomorrow we will are headed to NY, for Joann and Rogers wedding. We are so excited to see our "northern" family that we only get to see appoximately twice a year ... !!

Well off to pack for our trip .....

Almost a month ...

Well its almost been a month .. life has been wonderful minus all the stress of the wedding! We have slowly started going through all of our wedding gifts and trying to find a way to assimilate the old stuff with the new stuff. Gary has slowly but surely taught himself to use the washing machine and the dryer he just hasn't managed how to FOLD the clean clothes yet. For some reason he leaves the mounds of clothes on the couch to me! But I cant complain he is one amazing husband ! We spent last weekend in Charlotte with my dady and the girls! We had a blast !

We recently received all of our wedding pictures from our photographer .. Its going to be so hard to choose which pictures to put in our wedding book.

That's all for now we are off to enjoy this beautiful Sunday afternoon !!!

Back to Reality ...

Well, its been a little over two weeks since the I do's ... ! Mexico was absolutely amazing we stayed at Excellence Resort in the Mayan Riviera/Cancun. Surprisingly enough I became a little adventurous and Gary convinced me to go zip lining. Not only "one" zip line ... but he managed to get me to do the whole "ropes" course !! We had the time of our lives zip lining over the jungle and through water falls that were absolutely amazing. We spent most of our time relaxing and enjoying time with one another minus the wedding planning FINALLY!! But, we did manage to have a couples massage .. AMAZING to say least definitely different from any ordinary massage that we have ever had. We both have decided we will try to vacation there every summer for our anniversary .. I have my fingers and toes crossed for that one!

This past week coming home as a Wife I have manged to cook something besides chicken and rice. I have tried to promise myself that I will be creative .. with a cookbook that is and try different things ... I have to remember that Gary loves fruits and vegatbles something thats not my forte!


My mother in law Joann, finally set a date for her wedding. She and Roger will be married on September 25th. We are very excited to see everyone again ... and be apart of this special time in their lives.


Today, I offically became a MORRISON ... social security card ... and drivers license offical that is !

Well off to cook dinner for my wonderful HUSBAND!!
